Aynhoe Park, Oxford
Just a hop, skip and a beat from London…the grounds are stunning, the venue has an air of sophistication and decadence- it’s no wonder this is THE place for a wedding. I had the pleasure of a full weekend at Aynhoe Park staying in the main house and it was full of so many amazing surprises!
This venue has around 28 plus bedrooms (our room was right in the middle of the house- and it was spectacular- check out those grounds?!), beautiful dining areas, it’s surrounded by a deer park (it has its own onsite Church too if you can believe it)… there are bicycles for you to cycle around the grounds… there is even a basement night club (full with two separate bars)… there’s a special office area, jacuzzi and outdoor garden area, a games room; Italian gardens, an orangery and so much more… definitely a treasure trove in the middle of this Cotswold/ Oxfordshire area… it’s easy to access (a short 45 min train ride from Marylebone into Bicester North and a 10 min taxi ride to the venue)
A quick check in to the room… enjoying this glorious view and it’s straight on to a champagne reception

This venue has so many intricate design pieces, everywhere you go there is a selfie opportunity… whether it’s posing with a giant giraffe or with the multiple other animals, chandeliers or interior pieces! I’ll insert some pictures for you here- but it just screams luxury and you just know from the moment you walk in- it will make for an amazing party atmosphere!

As you can see this place is just stunning…the food was incredible (from the brunches, afternoon teas to the dinners) everything was truly scrumptious. I would say the brunch was one of my favourites, you arrive and have a choice of goodies on the table (the usual pastries and jams, but then my fave avo and chilli on toast, lots of different “healthy” shots beetroot, kale, apple etc all delicious; rice pudding and banana bread- which i could have eaten so so much of!! And that’s all before you order your actual breakfast…

So day one and day two it was a tricky choice but i opted for two different breakfast mains, day 1- the Eggs Royale and then the Aynhoe Super Breakfast for day two…both were so good! The super breakfast was served on some of the tastiest sourdough i’ve tried… mmmm getting those breakfast cravings right about now. Oh i also tried one of their turmeric lattes and it wasn’t all that bad…
Back to my giraffe though- how cute?! And if you’re there for a wedding they dress it up too!

Wedding day dress up!

Everywhere you go this venue just offers so much!
This is not just another private country house, it’s an extraordinary place and you know you will have a magical weekend from the moment you get there! Steeped in history, owned by nobility, and so eccentric! We absolutely loooved it (a wedding party of over 200) and yet everyone had an amazing experience. Excellent service and so many wonderful surprises- even Mick Jagger got married here!! Truly delightful. I would love to go back and highly recommend for any huge parties, retreats or weddings- thanks to the team at Aynhoe for making our stay so wonderful!
