Can you ever have too much makeup?!

Hi my angels, so it’s a Thursday and i’m at home sadly housebound today… so i thought i would draft a quick post for you all. I know i post a LOT about food but i also love makeup and travel and thought why not share some of my favourite products with you all…hope you enjoy xoxo

Which palette do you prefer?!!

I’ll start with eyeshadow palettes.. so i have quite a few and have just this morning ordered two more (i know- having time off work is bad for me- its far too easy to click purchase and with so many amazing sights selling some of my favourite US brands and shipping here in the U.K. I just cannot resist!).

So i would say all of the palettes above are lovely, the touch of peach palette smells divine i wish i had smell-o-vision so that you could smell what i can. Very fruity and the flavours lovely and light, great to add that dash of colour to any look. FCUK- nice colours and great to create that must loved smokey eye. Tartelette- both of these palettes are lovely but i would say tartlette in bloom is the nicer of the two; but my most used and absolute favourites have to be both the Huda palette and the Modern Renaissance palette. Stunning colours, both have lovely pigmented palettes- Huda is the more pricey of the two but there are more colours included. I can’t choose a favourite between the two they are both lovely. Let me know if you would like me to swatch some colours in the comments below…

Now onto foundations and blushers- i have so many of these its hard to find an absolute favourite… but i would say concealer wise you cannot get any better than Kevin Aucoin- i discovered his products at Bergdorf Goodman in New York and have never looked back! The brushes are so luxurious i dont think i have found a rival set yet- and i have most of the Bobby Brown and Mac Ranges and a few from Zoeva- loved by Elizabeth Taylor you can truly see why his brushes and his products are loved so much by the rich and famous. His skin enhancer is no different- i use mine either as a concealer or foundation- it’s so pigmented and such good quality. If you haven’t tried it you need to- you get that blurry smoothness-and will radiate the most amazing glow on pictures.

Foundations, BB creams, Powders, Blushes and Bronzers- surely there is something for everyone in this collection?!

On to foundations- i would have to say Nars or Bobby Brown have this down- i have a medium light brown complexion and no matter what i buy from either brand they both always deliver great quality, a little goes a long way and both brands have proven themselves time and time again. If you’re looking for no smudge, long lasting day to night light coverage- either of these will work for you! I also have a few contour palettes including the Anastasia Beverly Hills and the Marc Jacobs- both are lovely. I have the cream contour kit from ABH and the shade and light palette from MJ- both complement each other so well i love both- especially handy for those nights out where you want that extra special refined look!

Blushes- i have to say Nars have this down! I have too many colours to note, but each one offers great pigment and just the lightest of pats on each palette will provide the rosiest glow! My favourites have to be Torrid or Orgasm! Simply marvellous!

Finally singular eyeshadows… i have so many again it’s hard to choose but i would say if you are looking for affordable, but with a great colour pay off Nyx is the one for you- so many shades (they range from £4.99 each) i think these are an absolute steal…then there are the mid range macs and bobby browns of the world- again great pigments and what you would expect from such well known brands. BUT i have to say my new favourites have to be from Inglot- pigment, richness, creamy or powdery no matter what your style they have one of the best ranges of eyeshadows out there- metallic, matt, sparky or wet looking they have a shadow just for you. With a store now on Oxford Street you are just a hop, skip and beat away from eyeshadow gloriousness!

Hope you enjoyed this post xoxo
