Peggy Porschens, Belgravia
I discovered this tiny little gem hidden away in Belgravia and it’s definitely not one to be missed!
You are greeted by the most wonderful floral display, one of the most instagrammable spots of the moment I would say… you can see, even today the weather did not deter the bloggers from coming out in full force to take advantage of the backdrop this little oasis provides.
From the outside you would forget you are in central London and instead somewhere on the streets of Paris.
So to the important stuff… the cakes! For those of you that know me, I am not the biggest cake fan. However, I am so glad I made the exception for Peggy Porschen’s. We chose a few of the cupcakes and one or two cake slices (for two of us I know that’s a lot- but we just had to sample some of these delicacies to provide you a fair overview).

What a treat, a delectable array of goodies just for the two of us! Ooopsies… it is a Saturday why not?!

How wonderful is this floral display

For my ladies that love Pink! Yes!

Collaging, how we do at sophsterldn

mmm cupcake-a-licious
We ordered a slice of the strawberry and champagne cake- this one I felt was a little dry, still nice but compared to the cupcakes it had no chance! We ordered four cupcakes i) Chocolate sponge ii) Summer berries iii) Strawberries and champagne and iv) Eton mess.
My favourites by far had to be both the summer berries cupcake and the strawberry and champagne- some of the most amazing flavour explosions in the mouth teemed with fresh tangy fruit and soft moist sponge, absolutely delicious. In particular one of the cupcakes had a heart shaped (cute!) pipette of some sort of strawberry coulis- what a treat, you squirt this into the cupcake to add that extra pizzazz. I was not disappointed and am definitely converted to a cake lover!
I would recommend this for a lovely ladies’ day out, or even with family, mother’s day or just if you are looking for something a little more refined and fun on a weekend with friends. Its also not overly priced either- big thumbs up from sophsterldn!
Thanks Peggy Porschen- cake-a-licious!
