Hello my lovelies, so as I continue with my month of birthday celebrations, I decided to head down to one of my favourites STK for some drinks and nibbles. I have only ever been here for dinner and generally during the week and have to say I was very impressed with the weekend vibe- so much more lively. Saturday’s at STK are buzzing. Lots of people, great ambience and the staff oh so friendly- one of the reasons I always come back.
My friends and I had been for afternoon tea earlier in the day, and after a shop around decided we needed a snack or two with some drinks to help continue the evening and I suggested STK. No reservation required for drinks, we were swiftly seated with a great view of the main restaurant. Our server was wonderful, she was very attentive, helpful- you can also order from the main menu which was a plus as you are not restricted by solely the bar menu, which in itself was quite light.
STK is located within the ME hotel- its stunning, just across from the river and easy to locate. Having been to the STK restaurant in NYC and Vegas this one has never disappointed. On a Saturday, it really is a place to check out, it has a great vibe, good music and a mixed crowd.
We continued our evening with a wonderful crisp glass of Laurent Perrier- continuing the birthday celebrations so why not. We then preceded to order some Wagyu Sliders (I’ve had these before- they are not to be missed, succulent beef, tangy pickles and the sauce is delicious)- delicately pulled together I highly recommend. We then continued to order the truffle chips- a MUST HAVE fluffy light chips with a crispy exterior all rounded off with some wonderful Lobster Macaroni and Cheese- for those of you that know me anything with cheese I am in! This macaroni and cheese does rival some of the others and the addition of meaty lobster just added that extra decadence that is hard to rival.
All in all it was a wonderful evening, I recommend this as a place either for dinner or drinks and appetizers. Having eaten here before the steak is wonderful, so many choices and its also great for birthdays my candy floss birthday cake really did transport me back to my earlier years- anything that allows my inner kid to shine I am huge fan of!
Overall rating 9/10- not one to miss!
